Digital Dreamgirls is legendary girl-photographer J. Stephen Hicks' (and his team's) own site. And in my own opinion it is also one of the best "softcore/glamour" sites on the web. Unlike a lot of other sites or photographers, Stephen and his team only shoots these very photogenic models - many of the most gorgeous babes I ever saw on the web, I've found here. He was once involved with Playboy back in the 1980's, and has a long time streak going with Penthouse Magazine, dating back to 1984. He's photographed some of the most famous and beautiful stars , and his website DigitalDreamgirls is amazing. Stephen J. Hicks has taken the same care with his website production as he takes with his photography. Unlike other erotic photographers, Hick’s photos are light, airy and sophisticated. The colors are muted, the lighting appears natural (he makes it look that way – he’s an expert at natural-looking lighting), and overall his photography feels like a combination of fashion spread and amateur girl-next-door porn. The formula is simple: start with good-looking chicks, and then photograph them in all their natural beauty. It works. Hicks' photography is a harder than Playboy, but softer than Hustler. With a resume that includes Playboy and Penthouse, Hicks has become synonymous with quality and excellence in the field of nude/glamour photography. This is a large, well-maintained and very professionally operated site. The image archive consists of over 50,000 high-res pics. Mostly pics you can view them in different sizes - MED: 840x550, HIGH: 1024x670 and new format XL: 1280x1024 pixels. Also, you can download complete sets in ZIP archive. The photo archive stretches back to 2000 – enough to pick and choose your favorite sets The photos are consequently arranged in series with 20..50 in each and the pics are definitely digital and thus crystal clear. Though it is the hideout for Mr. Hicks, he shoots not all of the photos here of course. Mr. Hicks runs his own section here called "Dreamgirls". Other famous and professional erotic photographer Scott Evans runs another section named "Creamgirls". DDGirls' picture galleries are broken up into categories such as Covergirls, Amateurs, Just 19, Hooters, Girlfriends, Brazil, Seasonal, Backstage and more. These are all updated with new sets either weekly or bi-weekly. Finally there's a "daily" section with a photoset added 5 times per week. Updates come along daily to the tune of 1,500 pics a month. And funny category Talent Search - where test shoots are presented - a mix of newbie beauties. This part of the site is updated five times per week too (with 8 test pics of every girl currently). The content of the pictures is generally very softcore, and one does not all of the sudden stumble across explicit sex, except for the lesbian and DDG eXtreme sections. In addition to the great picture galleries, the videos are equally impressive. Movies of girls like Aimee Sweet, Monica Mayhem, Sophie Evans, Aria Giovanni, Karrie Jacobs, Silvia Saint, and the list goes on. These girls are used to being in movies and it shows. All have their own mpegs in 2 qualities, the 480x360 videos are big (60-100mb from what I saw) and are also available to low bandwidth users in video streaming formats. Several new sections have been added over the years. The latest one is the "DDGx" (more explicit shoots, some hardcore etc) section which has several sub-features. It's offered together with the regular ddgirls for a few extra bucks. I assume they're planning to separate it into its own site completely sometime in the future - this seems to be the fashion. Back to the DDG Exteme section of Digital Dreamgirls , it's basically a whole new site, with it's own front page within the members area. When signing up for DDGirls you’ll get the option of paying a little bit more (plus $7) for access to DDGXtreme. There was a search function added and a complete alphabetized modelindex with thumbnails and crossreferenced model aliases. There's also a calendar function where you can see what was added and what will be added the following days of the current month. DD girls is constructed with a navigation bar with the basic sections at the top of the respective pages. Every month there's an good interview with a pornstar, there's lots of information about Stephen and the company behind the site, previews of the girls that will appear next month, daily photo set, etc, etc, etc. All of the Kyla Cole material, for example, virtually makes this a semi-official Kyla site on top of everything else. Also really impressed with the amount of time Hicks is putting into the site in such things as his "daily word." That level of personal involvement was something we weren't expecting. A lot of nice material and beautiful, extremely hot models provide the members with a high and satisfying standard of adult entertainment. Fans of high-quality softcore photography, especially collectors, will want to subscribe to this classy, sophisticated, clean and professional glamour erotic site. |
